The UHV Women's Soccer team suffered its second consecutive loss.
The Jaguars fell 4-1 to Texas A&M-Texarkana on Saturday at The Cage in a Red River Athletic Conference match.
UHV (5-2-0, 2-2-0) scored its goal Saturday off a penalty kick from Victoria native Kyleigh Spree-Kolos in the 62nd minute, her fifth goal this season. The Victoria native had a team-high two shots on goal.
Chloe Spencer also had two total shots.
The Jaguars managed 10 shots, but only three were on frame. A&M-Texarkana forced sophomore goalkeeper Franciezca Blancaflor to make eight saves, the second-most in her career, on 12 shots on goal.
The Eagles (8-0-0, 4-0-0) had a 3-0 advantage before Spree-Kolos' goal thanks to goals from Alicia Loera in the 16th minute, Desiree Navarez in the 18th and Sascha Marcellin in the 48th. Navarez added her second goal of the game in the 78th minute.
The Jaguars will look to bounce back on Saturday, Oct. 5, against conference foe Huston-Tillotson in Austin.
