No. 13 A&M-Victoria selected as 2-seed in Lewiston Bracket
The season's not over yet for the No. 13-ranked Texas A&M University-Victoria baseball team.
On Wednesday, as the NAIA announced the field of 46 teams in the NAIA Baseball Championship Tournament, the Jaguars, as Red River Athletic Conference Regular Season Champions, heard their name as the No. 2-seed in the Lewiston Bracket of the Opening Round at Harris Field in Lewiston, Idaho.
A&M-Victoria is making its third NAIA Tournament appearance in the last four years, and its sixth appearance overall.
The Jaguars (35-13) are seeded behind hosts Lewis-Clark State College, and will take on third-seeded Hope International University in the opening game of the tournament at 4:30 CT/2:30 PT on Monday, May 11.
This will be the first-ever meeting between A&M-Victoria and the Royals (37-13). Rounding out the field is four-seeded Keiser University out of Florida.
All games in Lewiston will be streamed live for free on the Urban Edge Network.
