Jones sets single-season wins record, A&M-Victoria routs OLLU in RRAC Tourney
SHREVEPORT, La. — Texas A&M University–Victoria opened the Championship Rounds of the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament in emphatic fashion Saturday afternoon, powering past Our Lady of the Lake, 15–1, in a run-rule victory at Pilot Field.
The top-seeded Jaguars combined explosive offense with a dominant pitching performance to take a commanding step forward in the postseason bracket and remain unbeaten in tournament championship play.
Behind a seven-run third inning and a complete-game effort from Jonathan Jones, A&M–Victoria controlled the contest from start to finish, scoring in five different innings while holding OLLU to just five hits.
A&M-Victoria is now 36-15 overall heading into Sunday's winner's bracket game against LSU Shreveport.

In the third, A&M–Victoria sent 10 batters to the plate and erupted for seven runs on six hits. Jackson Purcell started the surge with a two-run double, followed shortly by Taylor's two-run double down the left-field line. Antonio Benitez capped the inning with a two-run double of his own, and Beck Zimmerman added an RBI single to push the advantage to 9–0.
